The 1st Myanmar Startup Show organized by The Ministry of Commerce was held at Myanmar International Trade Centre (MITC) on 14th March 2020. A variety of local-based startup businesses participated in the event showcasing products from sausage, ground coffee, ale, designer clothing, jewellery, handicrafts to IT solutions. Good Brothers’ sponsored the event with such well-intended objective to create opportunities for startups and discover products and brands with great potential to go international.
One of the biggest job fairs in Yangon, organized by MyJobs.com.mm was held at the Lotte Hotel on 14th March 2020. Good Brothers’ Group of Companies announcing job opportunities within its 13 subsidiary businesses attracted applications from hundreds of visitors. Good Brothers’ Group is continuously expanding and we are constantly recruiting, in search of talents and promising future leaders to grow together in the process. Good Brothers’ launched a public online campaign to celebrate the Farmers’ Day which fell on the 2nd of March 2020. The campaign was to have people participate by posting a picture of the produce grown by the farmers or a meal with the dishes cooked with the produce grown by farmers posting them on social media together with words of appreciation to the country’s feeding hands. For every public participation, GBS donates a set of school necessities to a child. GBS donated for over 380 children from No. (11) B.E.P.S in Chan Myae Thar Yar Village in Magway on 3rd March 2020. We dedicate this good deed done together by the GBS family, partners, customers to all of our benefactors, the farmers.
Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producer and Exporter Association (MFVP) held the first Myanmar Melon Festival 2020 in Kandawgyi Park from February 29th to March 4th of 2020 which lasted for 5 days. The Union Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Dr. Than Myint & U Phyo Min Thein, The Chief Minister of Yangon Region attended the opening ceremony. Good Brothers’ participated in the festival with the objective to share the knowledge and to help farmers on producing quality products of watermelons and melons which are one of the main export products of Myanmar by contributing GBS’ proven and genuine quality fertilizers.
The 2020 Seeds Fair was held at the Pyinmana State Agricultural Institute in Naypyitaw from January 28th to 30th. Republic of the Union of Myanmar’s Vice President, U Henry Van Thio attended the fair and gave an opening speech to express his support. The Fair’s objective is to better improve the quality of the food the country produces and exports by sharing the knowledge and technological advancements to the farmers and among the business organizations. Good Brothers’ exhibited the rice mills and implements that are capable of producing high quality rice.
Myanmar Skills Competition 2020, a competition to choose talented young ones under-22 to compete at the 13th ASEAN Skills Competition in Singapore was held at the Tatmadaw Hall in Yangon on January 25th and 26th. The event featured various contests to produce skilled labors from Myanmar. VSK International showcased the distributing products of Midea, TOSHIBA, TOTAL Tools & Pinwheel Pumps. The company is honored to participate and support in this kind of event that discovers and nurtures the young people.
VSK International brought the Midea Family Festival to Mandalay in the New Year, after it was celebrated in Yangon in December 2019. The festival took place at the Mandalay Yatanar Mall from January 10th to 12th. This festival has been a tradition and it was long-awaited by Midea fans. Discount sales, Cooking shows, performances and Zumba dance activities were enjoyed and participated by thousands of families.
