Today, Daw Me Me Kyaw celebrates her 15th year of working at GBS. Here’s what she has to say about her experience at GBS:
“It’s amazing to look back and realize that 15 years have already passed since I first joined GBS. Who would have thought it? At GBS, every day was a new chapter, a new opportunity to learn, to grow, to pass on my knowledge to others, and to make an impact of my own.
I remember back in 2011-2012, when I was in the Market Research team, I presented a proposal to the Management to build a school in Kyaung Shar Gone village in the Nyaungdon township of the Ayeyarwady Region. Not only was I floored when the Management accepted my proposal, but I was also honored and happy to have been able to witness it become a reality. To be able to give the children living in rural areas a chance to have an education… It’s life-changing, and in a good way. That was when I realized how much I value being a member of GBS. We don’t just work for the sake of working, but we work to help improve the lives of others in the community.
Of course, nothing is 100% smooth-sailing. In 15 years, I’ve also had to experience working life amid crises such as the Global Financial Crises in 2008, and more recently, the COVID-19 Pandemic. Uncertainty can be daunting at times, but it has also taught me resilience. During these times, I turn to the people in my environment and I feel glad for their steady presence and support.
GBS is not a workplace; it’s home. My colleagues and customers are not merely acquaintances or friends; they’re family.
I’d like to thank our beloved Founders, CEO, my colleagues, and everyone who has been with me throughout these 15 awe-inspiring years at GBS. May we only continue to prosper from here on out.”
Our heartfelt thanks to Ms Me Me Kyaw. May you continue to be shining example for all your fellow colleagues in the GBS family.

U Kyaw Soe joined GBS in 2010 as a salesperson. In 2016, he became one of the shareholders of the company. Presently, he is the Executive Director KUBOTA GBS Co. Ltd. and ASP KUBOTA, mainly overseeing the HR and financial management of these two subsidiaries.
Today, U Kyaw Soe celebrates his 10th year of working at GBS. Here’s what he has to say about his experience at GBS:
“From the very beginning, GBS recognized the potential in me. I attribute it to my enthusiasm and love for engines—I could easily memorize the entire engine catalogue and even remember how each engine is built. So, a year into my job, I was given the opportunity to represent GBS in overseas exchange programmes and supplier meetings.
The trust that my superiors gave me, even though I was still new to the company, was both humbling and an incredible honor. Although I made mistakes, I was given support and opportunities from my supervisors to fix them. They didn’t just give up on me. They saw my potential and encouraged me to be responsible, to be a problem solver. That’s what I try to implement as I evolve into the role of a leader: to give my juniors the opportunity to step up and to prove their capabilities.
After 10 years, I can honestly say that I love being a part of GBS. The people I’ve been blessed to work with—from my colleagues to dealers and agents—have become like family to me. We’re all motivated by the same goal, the same dream…to see our local farmers and the agricultural industry in Myanmar go further than where we are today.”
Our sincere thanks to U Kyaw Soe for not only believing in the GBS dream, but also going out of your way to both groom and inspire your peers. May your light continue to shine brightly in GBS for many more years to come.
