In 2010, GBS Group set up United Agricultural Products Processing and Trading Co. Ltd. (UAPPT) in Samalauk Village in Nyaungdon City, Ayeyarwaddy Division.
As a commercial rice mill plant, UAPPT is responsible for overseeing the post-production of rice as well as managing the export of rice products to countries such as Europe, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Bangladesh.
UAPPT is capable of holding 4,500 metric tons of grains, drying 270 tons and producing 150 tons of high-quality white rice daily. To date, UAPPT has been known to export 50,000 tons of rice each year.
Presently, UAPPT is in the process of expansion, with the construction of two other commercial rice mills in Oak Pho and Einme scheduled to begin in 2022. Operations will resume once construction has completed, which is expected to be in 2024.

As our name suggests, UAPPT handles both the processing and trading of your harvested rice crops. At our rice mill, we handle all the necessities from field-drying, threshing, shed-drying, cleaning, grading, storing, weighing, and milling.
Once your product is ready for consumption, we pack them accordingly then ship them out to be sold in markets within and/or outside of Myanmar. While Asian countries such as China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Bangladesh have been our go-to markets for rice trading in the past decade, UAPPT has recently delved into new technology to improve the grading of our rice products so that we can enter the European market.

Simply put, any lapse in the chain of practices during the post-harvest stage can lead to irrecuperable losses or compromise the quality and shelf life of your rice crops. As an organization dedicated to agriculture, and with a track record of exporting 50,000 tons of rice each year, UAPPT believes that it is our duty to see our farmers through every stage of the farming process.
With our combined technology and connections with agricultural markets both locally and outside of Myanmar, we help to minimize post-harvest waste and ensure that our farmers are able to earn fairly for their hard work.
Where can you find UAPPT?
We are located at the Samalauk Village in Nyaungdon City, Ayeyarwaddy Division. By 2024, we hope to launch our operations from two other rice mills at Oak Pho and Einme, which will begin construction in 2022.
