After nearly 30 years of steady business operation, marked by dynamic change, innovation, partnerships and expansion, GBS Group has more than adequately proved that, if nothing else, the company is powered by a substantial amount of grit and determination. After all, it is indeed grit that has allowed the company to continue keeping its doors open, even throughout the threat of COVID-19.
While some may argue the company’s decision as a risky move, GBS’s choice to continue running business as usual is, in fact, a calculated risk. To otherwise put the entire business on whole, surviving on what little economic reserves we have as we wait out the pandemic, would undoubtedly lead to far more damaging consequences in the long run.
Just as GBS needs customers to survive, the reverse is also the same. While the pandemic may disrupt lives, the cycle of life still goes on; and for farmers, harvest is a goal that remains unchanged. Likewise, GBS as a trusted agricultural solutions provider has a duty to uphold to these resolute farmers.
However, business as usual does not mean that GBS has chosen to ignore the threat of COVID-19. We acknowledge that just as the dangers of the pandemic are real, it is also just as important to play our part in helping to curb its spread.
Thus, in light of the precautionary measures shared by the World Health Organization (WHO), GBS has implemented strict safety regulations across all our offices and showrooms. Additionally, in a show of appreciation for the unwavering dedication and support of our staff, we have also undertaken the responsibility to supply them with extra food rations to ensure that they continue to eat well and to stay healthy.
COVID-19 may be unforgivingly vicious tide, but we at GBS remain optimistic that together, we will brave this storm and emerge stronger!
